About Us

We are reinventing consumer credit. We wildly reduce the cost of capital by using technology to easily tap into people’s assets. Our first product is the world's cheapest credit card – backed by home equity. Using many patented technologies, we sped up a process that usually takes 4-6 weeks and thousands of dollars down to as fast as 15 minutes and $0 to get.

The Team

We are a well-capitalized (over $250MM in equity funding) team of technology (Square, Microsoft, Facebook) and finance (Discover, CapitalOne, Goldman Sachs) executives with top-tier investors – Founders Fund, Khosla Ventures, Max Levchin, NYCA, Sequoia, SciFi VC, Caffeinated Capital, etc.

Our team includes people who have built:

• Financial products (Square/CashApp, the earliest CapitalOne credit cards)

• Consumer products ( Internet.org , Xbox)

• Technology infrastructure (Visual Studio, Windows & Azure, helped design the C++ & C# languages)

• Mathematics & science infrastructure (computational research at NASA’s JPL)

Job Description

We’re looking for a Senior 3D Generalist / Motion Artist to join our in-house creative team and help shape the visual identity of one of the fastest-growing startups.

In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with our Head of Design and Creative Director to develop high-impact creative assets for a variety of visual marketing channels (streaming, linear TV, social media), interactive product experiences, and more. You’ll be able to push creative boundaries, experiment with new techniques, and craft visually hypnotizing content that captivates audiences.

We want someone who lives and breathes 3D and motion – someone who can transform a simple concept into something dynamic, compelling, and unforgettable. 

Responsibilities:

• Bring ideas to life through exceptional 3D modeling, animation, and motion graphics

• Develop eye-catching visual content across a range of platforms that support Aven’s mission and goals (ads, social, web, commercials, and product experiences)

• Design 3D models and animations for landing pages and in-product visuals

• Contribute to all stages of creative development, from concept and storyboarding to final production

• Stay ahead of industry trends to incorporate into the work. Push the limits of 3D design, motion, and storytelling to create content that stands out

• Collaborate with a top-tier creative team to execute compelling visual concepts

• Present ideas effectively and ensure creative alignment within the design team

• Prepare assets meeting broadcast and multi-platform standards (e.g., TV, Instagram, TikTok, Web, etc.)

• Own projects from concept to execution, balancing creativity with strategic goals

• A strong grasp of composition and design, able to visualize and storyboard a project from a written brief

Qualification:

You have:

• 5+ years of experience as a 3D artist

• An exceptional portfolio showcasing strong knowledge of drafting, modeling, materials, texturing, shading, rendering, and compositing

• Proficient in 3D animation software, like After Effects, Cinema 4D,  Maya, Houdini, Substance Painter, Substance Designer, ZBrush, Knald, Marmoset, Photoshop, etc.

• Strong attention to detail and a keen visual sense. Set high standards for precision and craftsmanship

• Demonstrate strong time management and prioritization skills

• Excellent oral and written communication skills

• Can work with a fast-paced, highly collaborative, cross-functional team

• Able to iterate quickly and effectively communicate your ideas

• Empathetic towards customers, teammates, and our mission
