A manufacturing company is seeking a Color Batch Maker to add specific quantities of certain raw materials to a batch tank or grinding mill according to the written formula. You will work Monday through Friday from 6 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Job Duties:

• Weigh and/or measure quantities of solvents, resins, pigments, and additives into blending tank or grind mill according to ticket
• Watch mixing or grinding equipment and maintain control over time, heat, mix speed, etc.
• Once finished, take product sample to Quality Control Lab or inspection
• Check production batches, make adjustments when necessary, and recheck batch
• Use proper analytical tools to compare product to specifications and record results onto batch card and into computer database
• Consult Quality Control Manual for specific requirements and calibrate equipment as required
• Maintain a neat and orderly work area
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Experience in Manufacturing Filling Area is preferred
• Must have the ability to determine correct batch making procedures while reading and comprehending batch tickets
• Must achieve required color testing score
• Must have good math and measurement skills
• Must be able to multi-task while being safety minded
• Must be able to regularly lift up to 50 pounds, frequently up to 75 pounds, and occasionally 400 to 500 pounds with provided equipment
• Must have the ability to work independently and keep work area neat and clean
• Must have a solid work history with no attendance issues
