Global Banking organization seeks a Relationship Manager to cover Japanese and Asian corporate clients in the West coast. Deliver value-added financing solutions to existing and prospective clients to augment client relationships and obtain transaction mandates. Effectively manage client relationships to improve results and meet revenue targets. Responsible for a portfolio of client relationships, involving traveling and presenting to clients regularly. Execute against business strategy for the team to uptier client relationships, increase market penetration and maximize profitability. Manage all aspects of new transactions from origination, credit approval, documentation, and closing. Participate in the ongoing monitoring of the portfolio of existing clients, proactively owning, responding to and anticipating any future needs, challenges or risks, and escalating in a timely manner. Work with product specialists and subject matter experts across the bank to structure customized solutions that meet clients’ unique needs. Leverage the expertise and capabilities of other banking businesses in alignment with the strategy of the Bank. Stay abreast of industry trends and developments. Provide guidance, management, and direction to junior members of the team. Requirements 5 to 7 years of specialized experience. Minimum of 3 years of banking experience in financial analysis and credit structuring at a corporate or investment bank. Expert knowledge of the industries and the Bank's full suite of products. Knowledge of loan structuring, pricing dynamics, and debt capital structure across corporate ratings grid. Strong level of experience in credit, proposing and negotiating loan documentation, and the development of loan structuring. Able to handle transactions independently from origination to execution. Develop and maintain a network of client relationships as well as relationships across the Bank to obtain a detailed understanding of the overall needs of our corporate clients to facilitate seamless execution. Excellent communication skills and attention to detail; clearly articulates viewpoint orally and in marketing and presentation materials. Comfortable presenting in front of clients and internally to credit committees and senior management. Understanding of market trends with flexibility to react quickly to changing market conditions. Extensive CMS (Cash Management Services) business experience. Experience in MS Office Suite, Bloomberg, Capital IQ. Language requirements: Business fluency in Japanese and English.
