Job Summary and Qualifications The TriStar Summit Director of Communications and Community Engagement works onsite at local hospitals as part of the TriStar Division Marketing and Corporate Affairs team. This role supports the promotion of the HCA Healthcare brands and the division’s growth strategies. Reporting to the TriStar Division AVP of Strategic Communications and the hospital CEO, the individual plays a key role in representing the organization’s mission, purpose, and strategic vision both internally and externally. The director develops and executes communication and community engagement plans aligned with division and corporate objectives, supporting marketing efforts and community relations. Staying informed about community needs and issues, the director drives engagement activities and acts as the hospital’s primary communicator. Key Responsibilities Communications Aligns enterprise brand messaging with local hospital branding to emphasize organizational value. Supports executive communication needs, including messaging for staff engagement. Develops and implements strategic PR and communication plans. Creates content to increase engagement across media channels and pitches stories to local media. Manages crisis communications and acts as a public information resource. Monitors hospital news, trends, and objectives. Ensures adherence to marketing and communication policies in partnership with Ethics and Compliance. Reviews patient comments and reviews, providing timely responses and service recovery. Community Engagement Communicates community engagement strategies to hospital leadership. Leads programs to enhance the hospital’s reputation in the community. Advises the Board of Trustees on engagement strategies. Identifies and supports community activities that align with organizational goals. Coordinates events to raise awareness of hospital capabilities. Supports colleague community engagement initiatives, including giving campaigns and volunteer programs. Marketing Communicates marketing strategies to facility leadership. Provides insights to support regional marketing plans. Leads local brand management and ensures proper branding practices. Works with division teams to activate marketing strategies. Supports marketing efforts related to Physician & Provider Relations. Assists in developing content for web and social media, and manages collateral materials.
