Job Description

The Director of Government Relations will play a critical role in advocating for the company's interests at various levels of government and within industry groups. This position requires a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of regulatory environments and the ability to develop and implement advocacy strategies that protect and promote the company's business interests and growth. This position will sit in Washington, DC.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Advocacy and Representation: Represent the company in interactions with government officials, regulatory agencies, and industry groups. Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to influence public policy and regulatory decisions. Advocate for the company's positions on legislative and regulatory issues. Regulatory Analysis and Strategy: Monitor and analyze regulatory changes in jurisdictions where the company operates. Assess the impact of regulatory developments on the company's operations and business strategy. Develop and implement advocacy strategies to address regulatory challenges and opportunities. Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with internal teams, including legal, compliance, and business units, to align advocacy efforts with business objectives. Communicate regulatory and legislative developments to senior management and other stakeholders. Prepare briefing materials, reports, and presentations on government relations activities. Industry Engagement: Participate in industry associations and coalitions to advance the company's interests. Collaborate with industry peers to develop joint advocacy initiatives and strategies.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree in Political Science, Public Policy, Law, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred. 7+ years of experience in government relations, public policy, or a related field. Strong understanding of regulatory processes and government structures. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Proven ability to develop and execute advocacy strategies. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

TIME TRAVEL REQUIRED

15% The anticipated salary range for this role in the Washington, DC locality is between $153,010 to $203,940 per year salary ranges for other geographic localities may vary.Certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including merit increases, annual bonus and stock. These awards are allocated based on individual performance and are role based. In addition, certain roles also have the opportunity to earn sales incentives based on revenue or utilization, depending on the terms of the plan and the employee’s role. The role is eligible to participate in a comprehensive and competitive benefits program, including medical, dental, vision, disability, PTO, holiday pay, and 401k.
