JOB SUMMARY:

As the Director of Sales & Marketing at HOTEL DU PONT, you will be responsible for leading the hotel’s sales and marketing efforts to drive revenue, enhance brand awareness, and maximize profitability. This role requires a strategic, innovative, and results-driven leader who can manage, mentor, and inspire a high-performing sales and marketing team. The ideal candidate is a visionary leader, a collaborative team player, and a proactive problem-solver who thrives in a fast-paced, luxury hospitality environment. They must be adept at leveraging emerging marketing technologies, data-driven insights, and creative sales strategies to generate business across multiple segments, including corporate, leisure, group, and events. RESPONSIBILITIES & AUTHORITIES: Always deliver exceptional guest and client service with courtesy and professionalism. Foster a culture of integrity, innovation, and collaboration within the sales and marketing team. Lead by example to motivate and inspire team members to exceed revenue goals. Build and nurture strong relationships with clients, partners, vendors, and community stakeholders. SPECIFIC DUTIES: Develop and implement strategic sales and marketing plans to achieve hotel revenue goals. Drive top-line revenue growth through proactive sales efforts and marketing initiatives. Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities across key market segments. Utilize digital marketing, social media, SEO, and analytics to enhance brand visibility and engagement. Oversee the hotel’s PR and brand positioning strategies to ensure consistency across all channels. Collaborate with the Revenue Management team to optimize pricing and maximize profitability. Establish and maintain relationships with key corporate and group clients, travel agencies, and industry partners. Monitor competitor activity and industry trends to adapt sales strategies accordingly. Lead, mentor, and develop the sales and marketing team, fostering a culture of success. Oversee all marketing materials, advertising campaigns, and promotional activities. Manage sales forecasts, budgeting, and expense control to ensure financial objectives are met. Represent the hotel at industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events. Coordinate with the Food & Beverage team to align sales efforts with event and catering strategies. Ensure all sales and marketing activities comply with brand standards and legal regulations. Drive revenue growth through innovative strategies, data-driven decision-making, and a hands-on leadership approach. QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS: Bachelor's degree in Hotel Management, Marketing, Business, or a related field preferred. Minimum 5 years of experience in luxury hotel sales and marketing leadership roles. Strong background in corporate, group, and leisure sales within a luxury or independent hotel setting. Proven ability to develop and execute high-impact sales and marketing strategies. Experience managing and developing sales teams to achieve revenue goals. In-depth knowledge of digital marketing, social media, and public relations in hospitality. Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills. Ability to analyze market trends, competition, and revenue data to drive decision-making. High-level proficiency in CRM systems, revenue management tools, and hotel sales software. Creative, strategic thinker who can pivot and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
