Job Description

TRC is seeking an experienced Emergency Planner. This Emergency Management Professional will be a trusted member of a team responsible for supporting a government client in the Boston Metro area and coordinate the development and refinement of emergency planning documents, policies, and procedures. They will also support the emergency management and security teams during blue sky and incident planning and management, as well as assist with the development and implementation of staff trainings. This is an early to-mid-career level position with robust growth potential. Additional project assignments with other TRC clients are also likely.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will need to:

Support the development, implementation, update, and maintenance of various security and/or emergency management plans, policies, and procedures
Provide project management support and training to designated employees in support of Security Preparedness and Incident and Emergency Response capabilities.
Fulfill the role of Emergency Planner or other relevant positions in the EOC during activations
Support the coordination of large-scale events or incidents as they affect MBTA and MassDOT assets such as high-traffic events within MA, or the City of Boston
Provide subject matter expertise for the development of security and emergency management functions of a transportation system during emergencies or disasters
Assist in the development and implementation of table-top and full-scale emergency exercises following MBTA, MassDOT, State, and Federal requirements
Assist with multi-jurisdictional coordination efforts with local emergency responders and various emergency management agencies
Assist with the security and emergency management certification processes
Assist in the coordination, development and implementation of policies and mitigation efforts related to climate change, global warming among other mitigation and resiliency efforts across the Commonwealth to include multi-jurisdictional coordination with multiple agencies
Participate and/or help coordinate and develop After Action Reports.
Deliver trainings and presentations on planning, preparedness and emergency management.
Other duties as deemed necessary and appropriate for emergency management personnel for the client.

Qualifications

REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor’s degree, preferably in emergency management, public health, safety management, public administration or similar
3-10 years of related experience in Emergency Planning and Management
Excellent technical writing skills
Familiarity and or certifications in FEMA/DHS related areas of specialty (ICS 100, 200 etc.)
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a larger team to support business objectives
Work closely with government emergency management, law enforcement and security agencies
Ability to travel periodically to meet client and project needs
Ability to work in commercial and industrial settings and follow strict safety protocols
Fluent written and verbal English communication skills
Ability to pass multiple detailed background checks (including criminal history) and drug screening
U.S. Citizen, with current driver’s license and ability to travel by air, bus, train, etc.
Proficiency with standard MS Office tools, laptop computers, and/or related tools
The ability to occasionally walk and/or stand for extended periods of time, often in outdoor environments
Highly detail-oriented and possess strong organizational skills
Desired Additional Skills:

Bi-or multi-lingual skills are a plus
Master’s degree is a plus
Certifications such as HSEEP, MSP, CBCP, CEM, CDEP, or in other related areas are a plus.

Compensation: In accordance with local law, the below salary range is applicable for the job and location associated with this requisition. Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, geographical location, and other compensable factors.

POSITION: AUTOCAD SPECIALIST
Location: Ft Monroe (Hampton), VA, or Boston, MA

engineering, design, logistical, planning and maintenance support to the United States

Responsibilities & Duties
Develops Computer-Aided Design (CAD) drawings.
Works closely with design originators, preparing drawings or computer models of unusual, complex, or
original designs that require a high degree of precision
Assures that anticipated problems in manufacture, assembly, installation, and operation are resolved by
the drawings produced.
Exercises independent judgment in selecting/interpreting data based on knowledge of the design intent.
Although working primarily as a drafter, may occasionally interpret general designs prepared by others to
complete minor details.
Required Qualifications/Knowledge/Experience
2-3 years of solid experience with AutoCAD Software.
Able to accurately obtain mechanical measurements using calipers, micrometers, radius gauges, etc.
Able to visualize and portray complex design features.
Able to determine the most appropriate views, detail drawings, and supplementary information needed to
complete assignments.
Able to interpret and draft electrical wiring schematics.
Strong communication skills, and good PC skills
Other
Education: Graduate of high school, trade school, industrial school, apprenticeship
course, or military school in which credits were received in algebra, plane
geometry and drafting. A formal training course in CAD, utilizing the
latest AutoCAD technology, is preferred, but not required.

Required Qualifications/Knowledge/Experience
2-3 years of experience in shipboard mechanical, electrical or structural design.
2-3 years of experience working with AutoCAD Software.

radius gauges.
Able to visualize and portray complex design features.
Experience with integration of shipboard systems is preferred, but not required.

USN Engineering experience is a plus.
