The Charles Lea Center in Spartanburg, SC is hiring an Employment Service Manager.

The Employment Services Manager works under the guidance of the Assistant Director of Community Support with the focus of continuous development of customized career programs, coordinating staffing and work logistics for the work training facility.

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF AN EMPLOYMENT SERVICE MANAGER:

As an Employment Service Manager, you are responsible for the implementation, management, supervision, monitoring, and evaluation of the programs to ensure compliance in accordance with established standards. As the Employment Service Manager, you will provide guidance, support, and supervision to Lead DSP (Direct Support Professionals) and DSPs (Direct Support Professional) and oversee the day-to-day operation of programs assigned. This position will also coordinate, plan, and direct staffing and logistics work for work training facility as well as enclave environment to ensure products meet the company's expectations. In addition, this position will provide administrative/ programmatic oversight of community-based employment programs. A primary responsibility of all The Charles Lea Center staff is to support people with disabilities and special needs to achieve their personal goals, to help them develop and maintain relationships, skills, and roles which promote success in their lives and any other assigned duties.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • At least 18 years of age
  • Valid Driver's License and Social Security
  • Proficient in computer skills and able to type more than 70 WPM

REQUIREMENTS:

Ability to pass multiple background screenings to include:

  • Background check
  • DMV 3-year driving record
  • Medicaid Exclusion
  • Child Abuse/Sex Offender Registry
  • Fingerprint (SC resident less than one year)
  • 3 written professional references

SPECIALIZATION:

  • Bachelor's degree with a minimum of three (3) years' of experience in Human Services, or an Associates in Arts with a minimum of four (4) to five (5) years' experience in Human Services , or a High school diploma of five (5) to seven (7) years' experience in Human Services with two (2) years of supervisory experience
  • Good written, oral, and computer skills
  • Ability to effectively communicate with Persons Supported, direct reports, supervisory personnel and team members, and other stakeholders
  • Travel within Spartanburg County
