Reporting to the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO), the Director of Patient Care Satisfaction will be the coordinator for quality, peer review, and safety performance improvement activities, including the administration of an integrated quality and safety Performance Improvement system across the organization that promotes optimal benefits and outcomes to the patients, physicians, and staff. The Director of Patient Experience will provide direction and oversight for the hospital's quality, peer review, and safety initiatives, including planning, organizing, and implementing strategies to improve quality and safety. The quality improvement, peer review, and safety systems across the organization are consistent with regulatory expectations in design, implementation, and reporting. The Director of Patient Satisfaction will collaborate closely with the Director of Process Improvement and Information Management in managing quality data and creating reports for sharing data at multiple forums. The Patient Experience Director will also work very closely with the Director of Risk Management in identifying potential quality and safety issues, including serious events that might warrant California state DOH reporting. The Director of Patient Safety and Satisfaction will be the point person to provide education, expertise, and leadership in implementing quality, improving HCAHPS scores, and safety best practices across the organization. Ongoing professional development in the areas of quality, safety, and peer review is integral to the position. The hospital is in growth mode with expansion projects and new towers in the works.
