Summary

We are seeking a compassionate, patient, and dedicated Infant Room Teacher to join our childcare center team. The ideal candidate will have a nurturing personality and a strong commitment to the development and well-being of infants, helping to foster a safe, supportive, and engaging environment for children ages six weeks to 12 months.

Duties

Create a Safe Environment : Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom that aligns with center policies and state regulations.
Develop and Implement Age-Appropriate Activities : Plan and execute daily activities that support sensory, emotional, cognitive, physical, and spiritual development.
Build Trusting Relationships : Cultivate warm, trusting bonds with each infant and provide personalized attention, ensuring they feel secure and valued.
Daily Routines and Care : Oversee feeding, diaper changes, napping, and personal care tasks in a nurturing and efficient manner.
Parent Communication : Maintain open, friendly, and professional communication with parents, providing daily updates on their child?s activities, development, and needs.
Observe and Document Development : Track each infant?s progress, observe milestones, and document daily reports to keep parents and the childcare team informed.
Collaboration : Work closely with other staff members to ensure high-quality care and consistency in each child?s daily experience.
Emergency Preparedness : Be prepared to act in case of an emergency, following center protocols to ensure the safety of all infants and staff.

Requirements

Education : High School Diploma or equivalent (Associate?s Degree in Early Childhood Education or CDA certification preferred).
Experience : Minimum of one year in a South Carolina DSS licensed child care setting, particularly with infants.
Certifications : CPR and First Aid certified or willing to obtain certification upon hire.
Physical Requirements : Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds, stand or sit on the floor for extended periods, and engage in physical activity as required by infant care.
