Position Summary The Junior Software Engineer is a crucial member of Radio Engineering Industries, Inc. [REI] Engineering team. We are seeking a passionate and detail orientated individual who would like to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will have the opportunity to spend time working on exciting projects that will help REI's growth and collaborate with many departments. You will demonstrate your skills by writing software for customers, sales, and other stakeholders of REI's line of products.

• Assist in designing and developing computer software systems includes coding, and testing software applications.
• Performs development, design, and debug company applications.
• Work with Application Programming Interfaces to enhance connectivity between company applications.
• Work with version control systems (e.g., Git) to track code changes.
• Participate in code reviews, debugging, and documentation.
• Collaborate with the development team to maintain and improve existing applications.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development process.
• Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge & Skills

• Familiarity with developing cloud-based multitier server software.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol, Hypertext Transfer Protocol, Representational State Transfer, JavaScript Object Notation, and other network protocols.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor's degree in computer science, mathematics, software engineering or a related field is preferred.
• Proficient with one or more programming languages such as: C, C++, Cascading Style Sheets, C#, Java, Python, JavaScript, or similar language required.
• Strong communication skills both written and verbal.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to travel, about 5% or less.
