This role will assemble, modify, and repair Ideal Aerosmith motion simulation test equipment, mechanical sub-assemblies and other components. This position can also include travel to customer sites for installation and repairs.

Job Responsibilities

• Assemble prototype and simulation test equipment using hand tools, measuring devices and lifting equipment
• Assemble, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical components.
• Read and interpret schematic drawings, blueprints, specifications, work orders, and reports to determine material requirements and assembly instructions.
• Familiarity with various measurement devices such as calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, etc.
• Sets up and operates test equipment to perform acceptance test procedures (ATP) of assemblies or systems under simulated operating conditions. Analyzes and interprets test information.
• Prepare items for shipment including crating
• Ensure compliance to ISO 9001 requirements
• Other duties as assigned.

Q ualification Requirements

• High School Graduate
• 2-3 years of similar mechanical assembly experience.
• Precision machining education or experience a plus
• Certified to drive forklift or willingness to get certified
• Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Ability to travel (domestic and internationally) and obtain a passport.
• This position requires the employee to work in a restricted facility that requires US citizenship or Permanent Residence (Green Card).

Skill Requirements

• Attention to detail.
• Ability to work with little supervision.
• Accurate completion of paperwork.
• Mechanical ability.
• Ability to read engineering prints.

P hysical Requirements

• Must have the ability to lift and/or carry 50 lbs.
• Good hand dexterity.
• The position will require walking, standing, squatting, crouching, stooping, lifting, climbing, pulling, pushing, sitting, repetitive motion, kneeling, laying on the floor, and will require the employee to work in a cramped or confined space.
