We are seeking a professional and detail-oriented Part-Time Medical Office Receptionist to support our medical office. As the first point of contact for our patients, the receptionist will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming environment, handling patient inquiries, scheduling appointments, and ensuring the smooth operation of the office.
Responsibilities:
Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner
Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and schedule appointments
Verify patient information and ensure accurate data entry in the system
Collect and process patient payments, including co-pays and balances
Maintain a clean and organized front desk area
Assist with filing, faxing, and other administrative tasks
Coordinate patient referrals and assist with insurance verification
Ensure compliance with patient confidentiality and HIPAA regulations
Manage office supplies and assist with inventory tracking
Support medical staff and provide general office assistance as needed
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or certifications in office administration preferred
Previous experience as a receptionist or in a medical office setting is a plus
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
Proficient in using office equipment (phone systems, fax machines, copiers) and basic computer software (e.g., MS Office)
Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality
Friendly, professional, and customer-oriented demeanor
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Flexibility to work part-time hours Monday -Friday
