Job Title: Workers' Compensation Paralegal

Location: Rock Hill, SC

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Workers’ Compensation Paralegal to support attorneys in managing workers' compensation cases from intake through resolution. The ideal candidate will have experience in the field and a strong understanding of workers' compensation laws and procedures.

Training can be provided for more entry level associates with a background in the legal field.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist attorneys in preparing and filing workers’ compensation claims and related legal documents
• Manage case files, maintain calendars, and track deadlines
• Conduct client intake and maintain regular communication with clients
• Request and organize medical records and employment documents
• Prepare discovery responses, subpoenas, and settlement documents
• Schedule depositions, hearings, and independent medical examinations (IMEs)
• Communicate with insurance companies, medical providers, and opposing counsel
• Ensure compliance with applicable court rules and filing deadlines

Qualifications:

• Associate’s degree, paralegal certificate, or equivalent required
• 2+ years of experience as a paralegal, preferably in workers’ compensation law
• Strong knowledge of workers’ compensation procedures and terminology
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload
• Proficiency in legal software and Microsoft Office Suite
