Join Our Team as a Park Attendant!

The Fresno Metropolitan Flood Control District is on the lookout for a friendly, dedicated professional to join our team as a full-time Park Attendant . If you have a passion for people and the outdoors, a knack for detail, and you are a strong communicator, we'd love to hear from you!

About the Role:

You'll play a crucial part in maintaining two of the District's parks. Your responsibilities will include:
  • Customer Service : Greet park patrons
  • Safety : Enforcing park rules
  • Reservation Preparation : Preparing pavilion areas for reservations
  • Maintenance and Cleaning : Regularly inspect, maintain, repair, and clean park facilities and grounds
  • Independence: Problem solve on the fly
  • Teamwork: Collaborate with other Facilities Technicians and Park staff to complete tasks
  • Adaptability : Rain or shine, you'll be out there-so embrace all seasons and be open to shifting priorities. Because the public loves and visits our parks on weekends and holidays, working them is a priority.
What We're Looking For:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • One year of related work experience involving general maintenance and contact with the public
  • Must be able to pass a background check and Live Scan (criminal background check) conducted by the District as a condition of employment
