Position: Patient Registrar
Location: Brooklyn, NY 11215
Shift: Monday - Friday, 9:00 am - 5:00 pm (includes a 30-minute break)
Department: OBGYN

Position Overview:

We are seeking a Patient Registrar for a short-term, 4-week assignment in a busy OBGYN department. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in an OBGYN office or front desk role and be comfortable with patient registration, scheduling, and obtaining pre-certifications and authorizations for insurance purposes. Spanish-speaking ability is preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

• Register and schedule patients in a busy OBGYN office.
• Obtain pre-certifications and authorizations to ensure payment from third-party payers.
• Assist patients with any inquiries related to scheduling and insurance.
• Maintain organized patient records and ensure all documentation is completed.
• Adhere to professional standards and the department’s processes.

Requirements:

• 1-2 years of experience in an OBGYN office or similar front desk role (preferred).
• Proficiency in registering and scheduling patients.
• Experience with obtaining insurance pre-certifications and authorizations.
• Spanish-speaking ability is preferred but not required.
• Black scrubs required for the role.
