Key Responsibilities:
- Personal Care Assistance: Provide support with daily activities such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting. Ensuring seniors feel comfortable and dignified is paramount.
- Mobility Support: Assist seniors with walking and moving within their environment, which may include use of mobility aids and ensuring safety in the home.
- Medication Management: Help manage medication schedules and ensure medications are taken accurately and on time.
- Meal Preparation: Plan and prepare nutritious meals that cater to any dietary restrictions, ensuring that our seniors enjoy enjoyable and wholesome dining experiences.
- Companionship: Engage in meaningful conversation and activities that stimulate mental and emotional well-being. This can include games, reading, or simply enjoying each other's company.
- Household Management: Assist with light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe living environment, including laundry and general tidying.
- Transportation Support: Help with errands, appointments, and outings, ensuring seniors maintain an active and fulfilling lifestyle.
- Communication: Maintain clear communication with family members and healthcare professionals to provide updates on health and well-being.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in caregiving for seniors, preferably in a private home setting.
- Relevant certifications in caregiving, first aid, and CPR.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a deep empathy for the elderly and their unique needs.
- A valid drivers license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and respect the dignity of seniors at all times.
Schedule & Location:
The caregiver will be needed on a full-time basis, with specific hours to be discussed upon hiring. The position is based in Jacksonville FL, and we are looking for someone who is flexible and willing to work weekends or holidays as needed.
