MLS Electric is a residential and commercial electrical contractor serving the Charlotte and Raleigh-Durham Metro areas since 2018. We are looking for an Project/Operations manager to oversee commercial and residential installations. We work throughout the Southeast on a range of electrical projects consisting of EV charging infrastructure and commercial upfits. We are looking for Project/Operations Manager.

REQUIREMENTS: ALL Applicants must be legally eligible to work in the US and 18 years of Age.

Electrical Project/Operations Managers Typical Duties Include But Are Not Limited To:

Direct and assist Field Electricians and Sub-contractors with electrical project tasks, information and execution
Develop sub-contractor network (electricians, labor, concrete, private locate, etc..)
Prepare project estimates
Develop and maintain project schedules
Log, Transmit & Distribute Submittals
Assist with purchasing and ordering of job materials
Maintain RFI Logs
Coordinate the maintenance of As-Built Documents
Ensure Quality Assurance and Quality Control
Skills, Knowledge, Qualifications & Experience

Electrical engineering or associates degree, or equivalent combinations of technical training and/or related electrical field experience.

Knowledge of means and methods related to electrical construction

Read and understand engineering drawings, specifications and bid documents.

Computer Skills to include Excel, Outlook, Word, and Scheduling Software.

Good communication skills and people management skills.

Must be proactive and possess time management and multi-tasking skills to complete multiple job tasks at a time.

Ability to track job costs and measure productivity.

Safety-minded in all aspects of work.

  • At least (3) three years of Electrical experience with knowledge of the National Electric Code, state, and local codes and regulations
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and high-level workmanship
  • Able to make good decisions and exercise independent judgment
  • Good organizational and job-planning skills and ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently
  • Safely use and maintain required tools
  • Basic computer skills
  • Fluent in the English language
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
At least (5) five years of Electrical experience in residential, commercial or utility work including with strong knowledge of state and local codes and regulations

  • NC/SC Residential Electrical Contractor license
MLS Electric is located in Charlotte and Raleigh-Durham North Carolina.

Typical end time: 7PM
Typical start time: 8AM

Electrical Experience: 5-10 years (Preferred)
Electrical: 7years (Preferred)

License/Certification: Electrical License (Preferred)

NC Driver's License (Required)
