Job Description

Full time - 18 Hours/Week Billable only - LOWEST BILLABLE HOUR IN THE MARKET

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Family Law Associate to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will have experience handling family law cases, including divorce, child custody, support, and domestic violence matters. The Family Law Associate will provide legal counsel, represent clients in court proceedings, and negotiate settlements while ensuring clients receive the highest quality legal representation.

As a Family Law Attorney, you will manage a diverse caseload, advocate for clients in court, and provide strategic legal guidance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Represent clients in family law cases, including divorce, child custody, child support, and paternity matters.
  • Conduct legal research, prepare pleadings, motions, and other court documents.
  • Manage all aspects of case development, from client intake to resolution.
  • Collaborate with clients to develop case strategies tailored to their specific needs.
  • Attend mediations, hearings, and trials as necessary.
  • Stay current on legal developments and changes in family law.

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active membership in the California State Bar Association .
  • 2+ years of experience practicing family law.

Interview Process:

  • On-Site Interview: Introduction to Managing Partners
  • Second Interview (if necessary): Meet the team and discuss role expectations (can be a one-and-done process)

Compensation & Bonus Structure:

  • Base Compensation Includes: 864 billable hours per year (18 hours per week)
  • Bonus Structure: Anything over 18 billable hours per week is paid out on a monthly bonus schedule.
  • Example Compensation:
  • 32 billable hours per week: $215,000 total compensation (Base + Bonus)
  • 38 billable hours per week: $298,000 total compensation (Base + Bonus)
