Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate School Social Worker to join our team in Frederick, MD . This full-time contract position will focus on providing mental health therapy, conducting assessments, and supporting students across K-12 grade levels . The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mental health services within the school setting, demonstrating excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide individual and group mental health therapy to students.
• Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify student needs and create intervention plans.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to support student well-being.
• Develop and implement crisis intervention strategies when necessary.
• Maintain accurate and confidential documentation in compliance with school and state regulations.
• Support students in developing coping strategies for academic and social success.

Qualifications:

• Master’s Degree in Social Work (MSW) or a related field.
• Valid Maryland Social Work License (LCSW-C preferred, LMSW accepted).
• Experience in school-based mental health services is highly preferred.
• Strong understanding of child development, crisis intervention, and behavioral management strategies .
• Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
