We are seeking an experienced Senior Supplier Quality Engineer (Sr. SQE) to join our Procurement Quality Support Engineering (PQSE) team at our Anniston, Alabama facility. This role focuses on managing and improving the quality of electrical assemblies and electronics from our suppliers, enforcing purchase order requirements, and driving a "Zero Defect" mentality. As the Sr. SQE, you’ll work closely with suppliers, conduct quality investigations, manage non-conformance, and mentor junior team members.

Key Responsibilities:

• Investigate, evaluate, and resolve supplier quality issues, leading defect investigations and containment efforts
• Analyze defect trends and implement corrective actions to manage supplier non-conformances
• Ensure First Article Inspections and Test Plans comply with AS9102 standards
• Drive root cause analysis and champion continuous improvement within the supply base
• Mentor and support junior SQEs in their development
• Communicate regularly with internal and external customers, ensuring alignment on quality standards

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in an Engineering-related field, or 10+ years of relevant work experience in lieu of degree
• 4+ years of experience in Electronics and/or Electrical Assembly manufacturing processes
• Strong communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation)
• Proficiency in interpreting mechanical drawings, GD T, and conducting Failure/Root Cause Analysis and Corrective/Preventative Actions
• Knowledge of ISO 9001, AS9100 Quality Systems, and AS9102B First Article requirements
• Strong computer skills, including MS Office and industry software

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in a Defense Prime Contract environment
• Familiarity with product validation, test plans, and product qualification in the Defense Industry
• Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma concepts and tools (Green/Black Belt certification preferred)
• Experience with Toyota Production System (TPS) and A3 problem-solving tool
