Overview:

GovCIO is currently hiring for Software Tester/Quality Assurance Engineer to support application development with software testing and quality assurance. This position will be located in Quantico/Stafford, VA and will be a hybrid position.

Responsibilities:

Conducts evaluation of software/systems activities, including requirements, design, development, documentation, integration, test, verification, and validation. Define appropriate measures to ensure product quality. Develops overall operating criteria to ensure implementation of the software/system quality program according to project, process, and contract requirements and objectives. Ensures that projects and process control documentation are compliant with requirements, objectives, and/or contracts. Reviews software/systems design, change specifications, and plans against contractual and/or process requirements. Reviews include applicable specifications, materials, tools, techniques, and methodologies. Provides or directs verification and validation of software system requirements, traceability, and testability.

• Develops, publishes, and implements test plans for complex, multi-tier, distributed applications throughout the full lifecycle.
• Develops automated testing systems using commercial tools, scripts, and data sets.
• Participates in all aspects of testing, including functional, regression, load, and system testing.
• Assures the appropriate level of quality by the resolution of important defects by working with developers and/or engineers to ensure the software or hardware development process has an appropriate level of testing.
• Develops response strategies and processes for high-criticality and security vulnerability-related bug notifications.
• Proactively investigates and finds potential security holes and attack vectors within both the existing and newly-developed code base.
• Possesses critical thinking and communication skills with the ability to accurately state concerns/problems
• Leverages MS Office and Teams applications throughout daily work to include documentation activities Qualifications:

High School with 10+ years (or commensurate experience)
Clearance Required: Secret  

Required Skills and Experience
• Active DoD 8570 - IAT Level II Certification
• 7+ years working in software development following Agile-based project management practices
• Experienced in reviewing requirements to create test cases
• Experienced in testing web-based applications in mult-browser/platform environments
• Experienced in integration and regression testing

Preferred Skills and Experience
• Telerik test studio experience a big plus
• Azure cloud experience
• Familiar with validation tools for SQL/Oracle developer

Posted Pay Range

 

The posted pay range, if referenced, reflects the range expected for this position at the commencement of employment, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and internal equity. The total compensation package for this position may also include other compensation elements, to be discussed during the hiring process. If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the GovCIO reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, GovCIO or individual department/team performance, and market factors.

Posted Salary Range: USD $140,000.00 - USD $150,000.00 /Yr.
