Position Summary

Morehouse General Hospital is seeking an experienced and dynamic  Senior Project Manager to lead and deliver high-impact, large-scale projects aligned with the hospital’s strategic goals. Reporting directly to the  Chief Executive Officer (CEO) , this role will drive cross-functional initiatives that enhance clinical operations, improve patient outcomes, and support organizational growth. The ideal candidate will bring strong project management capabilities, proven leadership skills, and a deep understanding of healthcare environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Leadership & Execution Lead hospital-wide projects from planning through execution and close-out. Develop and manage project scope, timelines, budgets, resources, and deliverables in alignment with hospital priorities.
  • Executive Collaboration Partner closely with the CEO and executive team to align projects with the hospital’s mission, goals, and performance metrics. Provide regular updates and strategic insight to senior stakeholders.
  • Stakeholder Engagement Build trust and coordinate with internal departments, clinical leaders, community partners, and external vendors. Facilitate decision-making, ensure accountability, and promote project alignment across diverse stakeholders.
  • Team & Resource Management Coordinate project teams and allocate internal/external resources as needed. Promote collaboration, track performance, and ensure teams are supported to deliver results on time and within scope.
  • Change Management & Adoption Lead organizational change efforts including communication planning, training rollouts, and user adoption strategies. Champion a culture of innovation and improvement.
  • Risk & Performance Monitoring Proactively identify risks, issues, and dependencies. Develop mitigation strategies and escalate critical concerns to leadership as appropriate. Track project KPIs to measure success and impact.
  • Vendor & Contract Oversight Evaluate and manage vendor relationships, service level agreements (SLAs), and contract performance. Support Procurement and Legal during contract negotiations and ensure vendor deliverables align with project goals.

Qualifications

  • Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree required (Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, or related field preferred)
  • Minimum of 5 years of project management experience in healthcare or a directly related field
  • Minimum of 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role
  • Preferred Certifications
  • PMP, Lean Six Sigma, or equivalent industry certifications

  • Strong financial acumen and budgeting experience
  • Experience in healthcare operations and quality improvement
  • Proficiency in managing complex stakeholder relationships

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $90,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
