We are seeking individuals like you for our steel client in El Mirage, AZ as a Structural Welder!

The Machine Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining machinery in a production environment. This role involves setting up machines, monitoring their operation, and ensuring that products are produced efficiently, safely, and to quality standards.

• Shift: Monday - Thursday 5 am - 3:30 pm / 3 pm - 2:30 am

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform MIG, TIG, and stick welding on structural steel components according to project specifications.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to ensure accurate fabrication and assembly.
• Inspect welds for defects and ensure compliance with industry standards and specifications.
• Operate welding machines and other fabrication equipment safely and efficiently.
• Work closely with other welders, fabricators, and supervisors to meet project timelines and quality standards.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training in welding is preferred.
• Proven experience as a structural welder, with a minimum of 2 years in the industry.
• Proficiency in various welding techniques, including MIG, TIG, and stick welding.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Knowledge of safety standards and practices in a welding environment.
• Must be able to work flexible hours and overtime as needed

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift and carry heavy materials (up to 50 pounds).
• Stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Work in various conditions, including outdoor and indoor environments.
