As a Technical Inside Sales Representative with FCX Performance/Simone, you will establish and expand relationships with current customers and our outside sales team. You’ll spend your time interacting with your customers in determining their process flow control and instrumentation needs, while providing solutions to meet those needs. Essential Functions & Responsibilities include selling company products and services by processing orders, price and delivery inquiries, providing technical and application information, soliciting customer orders and suggesting additional products in a fast paced multi-tasking environment. Responsibilities also include maintaining responsibility of orders from quotation to collection, selecting and specifying a variety of products using proprietary and vendor-supplied tools/software, responding to customer inquiries, processing orders and acknowledgements, reviewing purchase orders, checking availability and ship dates, increasing order size by suggesting related items, processing and expediting orders and returns, promoting effective relationships with suppliers and customers, negotiating pricing and delivery with vendors, working closely with Outside Salesman, communicating effectively within the inside sales team, achieving and maintaining rapport with customers, maximizing gross margin through superior service and technical expertise, resolving customer issues such as warranty claims and returns, reviewing open customer order reports and taking action on open items, and other duties as assigned by management. Preferred Education/Experience: Bachelor’s Degree required (preferably in Industrial Distribution, Engineering & Management, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering) or equivalent experience. 3-5+ years’ experience in an Inside Technical Sales/Customer Service/Application Engineer role with an Industrial Distributor required. Previous experience with sizing and selection of Process Flow Control valves and associated actuation and control instrumentation required.
