The Telecom Facilities Manager will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and upkeep of all facilities and grounds within the organization. This includes managing custodians and/or facilities technicians, managing building renovations and other projects, assigning staff to complete maintenance work, and obtaining bids from outside contractors. Telecom Facilities Manager Responsibilities: Duties include, but are not limited to, the following: Manage a team of staff, including hiring, training, and scheduling Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs to minimize downtime and repair costs Ensure that all equipment and systems are functioning properly, and coordinate repairs and maintenance as needed Oversee renovations and maintenance of all facilities, including buildings, grounds, and equipment Ensure compliance with all safety and environmental regulations` Manage the budget for renovations, maintenance, and repair of facilities, grounds, and equipment Coordinate with other departments to ensure that facilities meet the needs of the organization Desired Candidate Qualifications: Proven experience as a Telecom Facilities Manager or similar role Strong leadership and management skills Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities Knowledge of maintenance and repair procedures for buildings, grounds, and equipment Must be knowledgeable in AC and DC power, generators, and best practices for telecommunications facilities design, fiber optics, and ethernet cable management.
