PCU RN position at Health Mercy Council Bluffs
Stepdown RN department
Common diagnoses include heart failure, Afib, respiratory distress, and stroke.

Job Requirements

RN's must pass a skills exam during orientation with a minimum score of 90%
Driver's license required at submittal
Candidates may not be full time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit within the past year

Schedule Information

0630-1900 and 1830-0700 shifts
Cyclic scheduling
Weekend requirements: Every third
Holiday requirements: 1 major, 1 minor
Floating to ICU if appropriate and has experience

Unit Specific Information

1-12 hour shift of unit/department specific orientation
RNs must read and interpret telemetry strips
Common titratable drips include Cardizem, amiodarone, nitro

Additional Details

Fast paced unit with many admits and discharges
