Their clients span a range of industries including professional services, crypto and fintech, real estate, and small businesses. They are known for their highly personalized approach, technical rigor, and long-term client relationships. The Accounting professional will be responsible for a mix of financial reporting, tax, and assurance-related work. This role offers hands-on experience across multiple disciplines and the opportunity to lead engagements, interact directly with clients, and mentor junior staff. It’s ideal for someone with a strong accounting foundation who is looking for variety, responsibility, and growth. This is a NYC based role with 4 days minimum on site. Primary Responsibilities 1. Conduct tax research related to PTET elections, retirement plan strategies, 1031 exchanges, and other planning opportunities. Advise clients on compliance and proactive tax-saving strategies. 4. Client Interaction Serve as a trusted point of contact for assigned clients on day-to-day matters. Understand client business models to offer relevant financial and tax insights. Build strong, long-term client relationships through responsiveness and thoughtfulness. 5. Supervision & Training Supervise junior accountants and interns, including reviewing workpapers and deliverables. Provide on-the-job training, coaching, and feedback. Assist in onboarding and mentoring of new hires. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree required; CPA or progress toward CPA (strongly preferred). Minimum of 4 years of public accounting experience in tax and/or assurance. Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills. Proficiency with accounting and tax software (e.g., QuickBooks, UltraTax, CCH, etc.).
