SUMMARY:

Come join one of the fastest-growing online retailers in the country! Pink Lily is in search of an experienced and ambitious Fit Technician. The Fit Technician plays a pivotal role in ensuring the quality and fit of all apparel products meet the highest standards. This individual will work closely with the merchandising team to evaluate garment fit, provide technical expertise, and contribute in bringing garments to life. 

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Participate in daily fittings to assess fit and direct necessary adjustments to patterns, specs, and samples.
• Prepare fit specifications comments – approve or reject garments on daily basis, issue graded specs for final production when PP (pre-production) samples are approved to ensure that garments meet company standards.
• Prepare, record, and send comments & corrections to overseas and domestic suppliers; namely fit / spec / styling / wash details.
• Conduct comprehensive fit evaluations on apparel samples to assess overall fit, comfort, and functionality.
• Maintain company sizing, spec, and grading standards.
• Accurately measure garments using industry-standard techniques and tools to identify discrepancies and deviations from target specifications.
• Assist in the development of samples by reviewing and refining measurements, ensuring that they meet intended spec standards and fit requirements.
• Work closely with our vendor partners to establish and maintain fit and quality standards throughout the production process.
• Manage and maintain a fittings calendar and book/coordinate a fit model as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience in Women’s Contemporary fashion
• Knowledge of spec patternmaking, grading, construction and fit.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment, flexible with changing direction as needed
• Must be highly organized and able to prioritize with a sense of urgency
• A team player and dynamic problem solver
• Must have proven knowledge of fabric properties and garment construction including points of measurement and sewing techniques

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

• 5-8 years of experience leading fittings
• Proficiency in pattern making or garment technical development
• Formal education in Apparel Production or related experience
• Able to work and think independently as well as part of a team
• Excellent follow-through and attention to detail
• Knowledge of Fit and spec patternmaking, grading, construction and fit.

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

• Must have excellent time management skills, be detail oriented and good at following through
• Able to work successfully with minimum supervision
• Ability to multitask and work with strict deadlines
• Working knowledge of fabric and garment construction
