We are seeking genuinely caring individuals to help our pet sitting team! Since 1992, Park Cities Pet Sitter has served pet parents by caring for their pets and homes. Join us in tending to the physical, emotional and social needs of all types of pets, large and small, in a happy, healthy environment– at their home! 

We are the most experienced, awarded, and trusted pet sitting company in the Metroplex. We are locally owned and operated, and our goal is to care for our staff, so they take care of all clients, four-legged or otherwise.

A day in the life of a pet sitter:

• Care for pets and client’s homes, typically within a 7-mile radius from your home
• Feed, water, play, and occasionally medicate pets.
• Scoop litter, pick up poo, and clean up any potty accidents or hairballs.
• Get your daily steps by walking dogs, or even possibly a cat.
• Do small house chores including retrieving mail, watering plants, taking trash out etc.
• Maintain client and pet records via our on-line software.
• Communicate with our office staff, other sitters, and clients throughout the day via phone, text, and email.

Requirements:

• Have experience caring for the physical, social and emotional needs of all animals.
• Live in or near the areas we service. See zip code list above
• Be at least 21 years old, and agree to a criminal background check.
• Be humble, trustworthy, and dependable.
• Always be learning and detail-oriented with a strong work ethic.
• Capable of walking various dog breeds in all types of weather (heat, cold and rain) 
• Capable of handling and possibly medicating various breeds of dogs, cats, and other pets.
• Have 24/7 access to a reliable car, hold a valid driver’s license, and have proof of current auto insurance.
• Must have and be able to navigate a smartphone by using apps, texting, and email.

Compensation & Purrrks:

• Starts at $17 per hour on average, including drive time, plus gratuities. 
• PTO (paid time off) available for all staff.
• Paid subscription to a tele-doc service.
• Flexible schedule & ability to work close to your home.
• Ongoing paid training, including Pet First Aid & CPR.
• Discount for your own pets who need pet sitting services.
