Job Description

Our client in the food production industry is seeking a Plant Controller to join their team. As a Plant Controller, you will be part of the finance department supporting the Chicago lab. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent communication, and a background in manufacturing.

Job Title: Plant Controller

Location: Chicago, Illinois

Pay Range: $100,000 - $125,000

What's the Job?

• Responsible for month end and year end close. Including journal entries, financial reviews, reporting, and reconciliations.
• Prepare annual budgets and financial forecasts in collaboration with plant management.
• Oversee all accounting procedures and internal controls to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulations.
• Prepare financial statements and reports, and present findings and recommendations to management.

What's Needed?

• Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting required; master’s degree and/or professional certifications (CPA, CMA) preferred.
• Experience in financial management, preferably in the food production industry.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial analysis.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
