Contract Attorney

Location: Downtown Los Angeles 90% Remote for the first couple of weeks then converts to fully remote schedule.

*Please note we will consider 100% remote candidates as well.

Pay Rate: Up to $85/hour

LHH is partnering with a regional law firm in seeking a skilled Contract Attorney with a strong background in litigation defense, specifically in lemon law and consumer warranties. The ideal candidate will have extensive defense experience, be California-barred, and able to hit the ground running. This role requires someone who is independent yet able to collaborate effectively within a team.

Responsibilities:

• Handle a variety of lemon law defense from inception to resolution.
• Draft, review, and file necessary legal documents, motions, and pleadings.
• Conduct thorough legal research and analysis.
• Represent clients in court hearings, depositions, and settlement negotiations.
• Work closely with other attorneys and support staff to ensure efficient case management.
• Provide expert legal advice and develop effective defense strategies.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant laws and regulations.

Qualifications:

• Active membership and good standing with the California State Bar.
• Minimum of 3 years of litigation defense experience.
• Proven ability to manage a high volume of cases and work under tight deadlines.
• Excellent analytical, research, and writing skills.
• Ability to work independently while also contributing to a team environment.
